Qld Business Basics Grant – Closing Soon
Great news for Qld small businesses, The Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT) has launched round 3 of the Qld Business Basics Grant Program.
If you don’t already know, here are the key eligibility requirements:
- Businesses must not have previously been approved for funding under this grant program
- You must have less than 20 employees
- Be registered for GST and have and active ABN
- Your headquarters must be in Qld
- Your expected turnover for the current financial year is $300,000 or less
- You do not have any owners or directors that are:
- undischarged bankrupt
- insolvent
What is the Qld Business Basics Grant?
The Qld Bussiness Basics Grant Program is a one-off payment of $5000 to help small businesses to:
- increase their core skills
- adopt best practices
Here are the 5 funded priorities and their sub-categories:
- Training and coaching
- business development
- marketing
- human resources
- business planning
- training or coaching can only be for a period of up to 4 months
- Website design, build or upgrades
- new website build
- existing website upgrade or refresh
- eCommerce addition
- new website content development
- Professional business advice
- business plans
- Strategic marketing services
- marketing plans inclusive of SEO advice
- Business continuity and succession
- continuity and succession plans
- cybersafety tools and training
When does the Business Basics Grant close?
Round 3 of this small business grant opens at 9am on 4th May 2022. If you haven’t done so already, get your applications ready NOW. The funding is highly competitive and simply submitting your application won’t guarantee success.
